The Metallurgical Writers Association and the Magang Writers Association jointly launched the "New" steelmaking project, which was selected as the 2025 literary service support project of the China Writers Association.

On April 2, the Social Liaison Department of the China Writers Association announced the list of 2025 Literature Volunteer Service Demonstration Key Support Projects. After the review group of the Literature Volunteer Service Demonstration Key Support Projects reviewed and approved, 45 projects were selected as the 2025 Literature Volunteer Service Demonstration Key Support Projects. The "Steel is Made of 'New'" Literature Volunteer Service Project of the China Metallurgical Writers Association and Magang Writers Association was successfully selected.
This project is a specific literary action of the China Baowu Magang Writers Association to conscientiously study and implement the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping's important speech during his inspection and research of Magang Group and his inspection of Anhui. It is planned to highlight the theme of "Remembering the Entrustment and Being Grateful and Forging Ahead" literature volunteer service through literary volunteer service, focus on Magang's scientific and technological innovation, red spirit inheritance, and ecological civilization construction, and carry out a number of literary volunteer services in a solid manner. Through the forms of "literature + technology" and "literature + ecology", we will go deep into the production line and grassroots mines, record and describe Magang's scientific and technological innovation, ecological civilization achievements, and cultural construction in the form of literature, tell the story of Magang's courage to forge ahead, tell the story of Magang people's courage to fight, gather consensus and strength, and effectively promote the company to contribute steel and Magang's strength in the journey of building Chinese-style modernization.
In recent years, the Magang Writers Association has achieved fruitful results in the field of literature. In 2024, with the strong support of the China Metallurgical Writers Association, the Magang Federation of Literary and Art Circles and the Municipal Writers Association, the Magang Writers Association adhered to the new development positioning of "gathering Magang writers, cultivating new literary talents, creating a literary atmosphere, and promoting corporate culture", and successively carried out literary lectures, work seminars, manuscript revision meetings, literary field trips, literary newcomer symposiums, literary grand prix and other activities. All work has made significant progress, and a number of outstanding works and literary newcomers have emerged. Throughout the year, 116 works have been published in provincial and municipal newspapers and periodicals, and many works have won various awards. Two writers have joined the China Writers Association, five have joined the Municipal Writers Association, and four have joined the Provincial Writers Association. Five issues of the Magang Writers Association Bulletin were compiled and published throughout the year, and many work dynamics news appeared in the China Metallurgical News and the provincial and municipal writers association official accounts and other media.
This time, the "Steel is Made of 'New'" project was selected as the China Writers Association's 2025 Annual Literature Volunteer Service Demonstration Key Support Project, which will further promote the literary creation and cultural dissemination of Magang and the entire metallurgical industry, and inject new vitality into the development of the steel industry with the power of literature.
